- Originally known as the "Fab Five", but changed their name because Fab Five was already taken
- The girls have appeared on talk shows such as Ellen, The Late Show with David Letterman, Good Morning America, The Today Show, The Colbert Report, and Entertainment Tonight
- In August 2013, the team was inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame.
- As of September 2013, the name Fierce Five is trademarked
- As of September 2013, all members of the team are back training in their respective gyms
- Two of the girls, McKayla and Kyla, were selected to represent the USA at the World Championships in Antwerp, Belgium
- After Winning the team gold at the London Olympics, President Obama called up the team to congratulate them. He later met with them upon their return to the United States
- Jordyn and McKayla both competed at the Olympic Games with fractured bones
- Four of the five girls are professional athletes, meaning they can sign endorsement deals but are not eligible to compete for college.
- Four of the five girls are now living in Los Angeles.
